# Access 4 U Scaffolding Ltd — Full Reference Guide

Access 4 U Scaffolding is a third-generation family-run scaffolding contractor based in Sheffield. Founded in 1989, we provide safe, compliant access solutions for commercial construction, industrial maintenance, domestic home improvement, and heritage restoration projects across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and Lincolnshire.

## Credentials and Safety

We are a NASC member contractor and Constructionline Gold certified. Our team works to current TG20 and TG30 scaffolding standards. We carry out mandatory 7-day inspections by basic or advanced inspectors. Operations are backed by £10 million in liability insurance.

## Scaffolding Contractor vs Scaffold Tower Hire

We are professional scaffolding contractors: we design, erect, and dismantle complex structures. We do not offer DIY scaffold tower hire. All erection is carried out by CISRS-trained operatives.

## Core Services

- **Commercial Scaffolding**: Offices, schools, retail, and development sites. Live-site management, public access planning, on-programme delivery.
- **Industrial Scaffolding**: Plants, depots, and industrial facilities. Planned maintenance programmes and reactive call-outs. Full method statements and RAMS documentation.
- **Domestic Scaffolding**: Roofing, extensions, chimneys, full home refurbishments. Tidy, dependable, minimal disruption.
- **Heritage Scaffolding**: Listed buildings, churches, and conservation sites. Non-invasive methods to protect sensitive structures. Experience working alongside conservation officers and English Heritage requirements.

## Scaffold Systems

Traditional tube-and-fitting and Layher system scaffolding. Bespoke designs, temporary roofs, support scaffolds, edge protection, and encapsulation systems.

## Legal Requirements

- **At what height do you legally need scaffolding?** UK law requires proper access and fall protection to be considered at 2 metres working height.
- **What is the 3-to-1 rule?** For free-standing scaffolding, total height must not exceed three times the minimum base dimension.
- **How much does scaffolding cost?** Cost depends on project scope, duration, access complexity, and location. Contact us for a free site-specific quote.
